During our official business trip to Japan, Mr Dobrei visited the Liszt Institute – Hungarian Cultural Centre in Tokyo, where he held meetings and discussions with Mrs Krisztina Merényi, the head of the institute, focusing on the cultural origins of the sport and the promotion of Hungarian sports within international cultural exchange frameworks. These initiatives are expected to contribute both to the sport’s global dissemination and to broader international cultural engagement.

The recent visit indicates that table volleyball by TEQVOLY™ has entered a phase of recognition-building in Japan, marking a significant step towards future international event hosting and domestic development, both in Japan and Asia. The ITVF, in collaboration with its Japanese member organisation, will continue to engage with Japanese national organisations to promote the sport, enhance cultural exchange, and create opportunities for athletes, fans, and partners.
